We welcome volunteer help any time of year. The Illinois Farmers Market Association annually produces educational events and fundraisers, fulfills grant objectives, and works on special projects. Volunteers are a valuable resource to assist ILFMA in accomplishing its many goals and initiatives. If you are interested in volunteering, please complete our Application.

Fundraising Committee

The Fundraising Committee is championed with long-range planning activities that include grant applications, fundraising campaigns, annual appeals, non-dues revenue, and funding prospects. Individuals with appropriate fundraising experience should complete a committee application.

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee ensures that ILFMA is recruiting, retaining, and serving the dynamic needs of its members. Individuals with appropriate experience should complete a committee application.

Education Committee

The Education Committee coordinates all the educational offerings scheduled annually by ILFMA, such as webinars, workshops, tours, vendor fairs, the annual statewide conference, the farmers market manager certificate program, and other initiatives. Individuals with a broad range of skills are encouraged to complete a committee application.

Marketing Committee

The Marketing Committee works to develop a comprehensive communications program to market and promote the Illinois Farmers Market Association’s accomplishments, its achievements to the membership and the community, and increase recognition and support for the Illinois farmers market community locally, regionally, and nationally. Professional graphic design, copywriting, social media experience, etc., are welcomed. Individuals with a broad range of skills are encouraged to complete a committee application.

Ambassador Committee

The ILFMA Ambassadors are our goodwill and feet-on-the-ground esprit de corps. They focus on several objectives, including building enduring relationships with local Farmers Markets and vendors, increasing awareness of ILFMA and its benefits of membership. Ambassadors visit farmers markets, share current ILFMA news and opportunities, and create relative social media marketing to promote the Illinois Farmers Market community.
